try this bracelet : See things that comes in your way, maybe it will be an opportunity, maybe not..but do not predispose your self of any wrong notions about it.

if it fits, wear it : See whether it is appropriate for you or not, if you feel it is, go for it.

if it hurts then get away from it : Once you REALIZE that its not meant for you 'coz it not helping you or you are not comfortable with it..then detach yourself from it.

and that is how u develop a perspective about something..u shouldn't listen to everyone.

i wont say this is applicable with people, but it is quite true
with material..so being materialistic is not wrong, if you are comfortable with that "material".

Lets break the quote and deal with it in parts:
'Try this bracelet'- this part of the quote may simply mean you may try on something that isa new or appealing to you .

'If it fits you wear it,if it hurts you, throw it away no matter how shiny it is.'-This part o fthe sentence means that if the bracelet(new thing) suits you and is good for you keep it ,but if brings any harm to you , you must discard it , even if it still lures you.

So the qoute in whole may mean that sometimes may may be lured and fascinated by the outer appearance and charm of certain things but it is not necessary that these things are good for us or may suit us.

Over here we can take 'shiny' as a synonm for money and wealth,
so in that case the quote may mean :
No matter how much money may lure a person, you should determine whether it (basically the abundance of money) is actually bringing you all the happiness or is it just wearing you out day by day.

It may also mean that there is no harm in trying a new path or aiming for something higher in ones life , but when one reaches it , he/she should determine whether it is good for him/her, as in whether it will do the person any good or is will it harm or hurt the person in anyway.
For example:
Many people are fascinated by the life of a superstar and try hard to be one. However the ironmy is to reach the limelight one has to go through a lot of darkness , moreover the limelight that seems to be fascinating to others may be more of a burden for the one in it.

This is more on the belief that not all that look good maybe safe and nice for you.........so when we put this into a situation, somebody put you in a very nice and prestigious position all because of influence or connection from peers....even knowing that your capability of the job isnt enough and experience too. so you took the job, you made a mess, and have to leave it and resign from the position, ...the peosition could have brought you more fame and money, but the job didnt' fit your description, hard for you to manage the job,, so you have to give up that opportunity even if it mean your whole chance of a better future............the moral here is ..eat as much as the size of your mouth..too ambitious can be dangerous!!!

Live, and do things within your means and limitations! Wear the shoes that fit your feet, not the unfit ones just because they look good and attractive!Wear the dress that is your size, not the dress that is attractive and trendy, but not appropriate to your taste and society!

Just because it is good looking popular or rich dosen't mean it is right for you being a person or a thing. And people can hurt you. Especially materalistic egocentric ones.

God will never leave you. He will replace everything you lost. If He asks you to put something down, it’s because He wants you to pick up something greater.
