Honestly, racing is the biggest waste of money I've ever seen!

Why would you come to a NASCAR section to ask a negative question about NASCAR? Any sport takes a lot of $$$$$$.

Who's "we"? I personally have never wasted money on NASCAR or racing. Every dollar I've spent on attending a race, on souvenirs, or on taking part in racing was worthwhile. Free enterprise means that each individual gets to decide for himself how his money should be spent.

If by "we" you mean people in general, you need to learn a little about economics. Like all successful businesses NASCAR is a net creator of wealth. That is, if NASCAR and racing were to magically disappear overnight, the US economy would be much the poorer, many people would be unemployed, and certain areas would fall into depression. Economics is not a zero-sum game.

Now, if YOU find racing uninteresting, yet continue to spend your money on it, I'd guess that you have some kind of neurosis and ought to see a mental health professional. Was that what you were asking?

The NBA and the NFL are bigger money wasters than NASCAR. And NASCAR's the better sport.

But then again, why am I wasting my time and typing on you? You hear only what you want to hear.

NASCAR fans are: highly intelegent, hard working individuals that enjoy the freedom to choose how and were to spend their money. If they enjoy their sport, and they do, why not?
I don't consider it a waste of time. I work hard for my money and no one should tell me what to spend my money on. I pay my rent, gas and electric, and all my bills first. What I have left over is my to do with what I want. Thank You.

Sorry your Q is miss leading I thought you had a complaint about NA$CAR and was going to put my 2 cents in but you are bashing racing in general.
It is entertainment and that is that. This is the sport I watch and the only sport I watch. Just not NA$CAR as much as I used to back when it was run by a sane person.
Brian France is a complete idiot that is working so hard to destroy what his grandfather and father built.

Now these are the auto racing fans I know and love! this is more like it!
To the asker, I wonder whaton earth possesses you to ask a question like this in a forum like this? What kind of answers you expect?
If you don't like it, don't watch it.
Try to also understand that America is a free country where you're free to express your opinion, but outside a few friends and loved ones, the average person doesn't give a d#$@ what you think.
If you're trying to win converts to your point of view, you're doing a piss poor job of it.

Well that is your opinion and you are intitled to it but for us racing fans this is our enjoyment.
Personnally I feel golf is a waste of time, walking around hitting a little ball with a stick. Then to televise a poker game is a huge waste.I play cards and I enjoy it but I thinkj it is stupide for 5 channells to show poker games on saturday night.
So each entitled to their own opinion and yours is taken. So enjoy yourself and leave other peoples enjoyment alone.

The next time I want your opinion, I'll either ask for it, or beat it out of you.

If you don't like racing, then move over to the needle point section and stop wasting our time here.
