Why do Theism and Pedophilia seem go hand in hand?

Do you think they both could stem from the same mind disorder? I mean obviously not all Theist's are pedophiles, just like not all Muslims are terrorists. But considering the representatives of the religions and statistics, 99% of pedophiles believe in some form of God. Also Pastors,Priests, Muhammed etc. Do you think there Is a correlation between believing in a god and pedophilia ?

Note: For any Muslims who get offended by me calling Muhammad a pedophile, can you explain to me how consumating a marriage with a 9 year old isn't pedophilia?

I do see a link between power and sexual abuse...absolute power, the influence of young minds, corrupts absolutely. Religion has a heirarchy, some people we respect like priests, without question, and have access to children which is never that good, I see it in teachers and politicians, doctors and people who foster children...the care system is full of predetors taking advantage of those who are veunrable.

I do question your stats, though psychologicaly the concept of god as a 'Father' or loving authority figure can be attractive to those abused in the past, especially as they can be quite confused about sex and love and authority, understandably so. The chances of a prayed upon child becoming a peodophile are alot higher. So, although it probably a symptom rather than a cause, It could be seen as a link in a way.

I believe the Theist are targeted more, most likely 5 times more than , for example than Non-Theist. If Non-theist were pursued with the same zeal, then you would be wondering why Non-theist have such a problem . Since we are all told we, as a race, come from God or ET that accounts for your 99% figure.
But one way I try and be like God is this : What ever God allows on Earth, I will also allow. Whatever God divinely disallows by intervening, I also will not allow.
Remember the Golden Rule " Treat Others The Way You Want To Be Treated". I always give everyone the benefit of a doubt that they know this and its part of what they are. So anytime someone treats me a certain way, they are saying,
"This Is How I Want You To Treat Me." To not reciprocate would be disrespectful and assuming.

Both are induced by guilt and the need to believe/act in a way that relieves that guilt.
