The crimes of those who have used atheistic ideals is certainly just as bad as those who have used Religious ideals to justify their actions.
People like Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, who have killed millions, have all been influenced by atheistic and evolutionary teaching. People like to claim that Hitler was a Christian, which he wasn't. Certainly he retained a nominal belief in God but the greatest influence on his desire to have the superior race came from Darwin's writings and more especially Frederick Neitchze.

i'm a Muslim. Muslims view of Christians, Muslims and atheist is depending fully on the Quran and the Sunnah. at the same time as quoting some element which isn't from any of those, Muslims are basically giving their own own evaluations and this opinion will be contested and refuted, if glaring justify. equipment used for human being opinion are via through technique of logical reasoning, inference, statement and so on,and so on the Quran renowned 'the Nazara'-Christians who're authentic to the education of Jesus. The Nestorians, which changed into once referred to as heretics via both Catholics and Orthodox changed into once seen as absolutely Christians via the Persians interior the pre-Islam era. That changed into the motives why many Nestorians fled the Byzantine who persecuted them and lived in Persian occupied parts. absolutely, many early persons of the before shared a similar view about popular Christianity of on the instantaneous and not in any respect basically the Quran on my own making such revelations.

This is the dumbest argument against atheism that I have ever heard of in my life. First there is no such thing as an atheist regime. Atheism is not a belief, ideology, religion etc. It`s merely the lack of belief in a personal God. It`s western snobbism to say that since a country does bad things and they don`t believe in the Christian God well they did those bad things because they did not believe in "Our God."
But Mao was an atheist, Stalin was an atheist, Poll pot was an atheist - what does that say about atheism? Absolutely nothing! You see those dictators did not carry out those atrocities in the name of Atheism. Big difference. Islamic and Christian regimes whether it be the Holy crusades, the Catholic Inquisition, or 911 - carried out those atrocities in the name of religion. Lastly, if anything Communism and fascism is too much "LIKE" religion. Just another form of dogma. You better do this or else you will suffer from physical violence. Hummmmm. Sounds like the God of the Bible.

Purely atheists ?
USSR and Kampuchea.
Nazis ? Well, what about the "gott mit uns" on SS belts ?
Gott mit uns => god with us.
Nazism found a source of their racial laws from anti-jewish feelings in christianity (middle age crusades) where jewish people are described like scum because they don't choose to see Jesus as a messiah.
And for roman catholic, antisetism was really take away from prayers with Vatican 2 in 1962.
Being or not a believer don't change anything in crimes. Both are source of crimes.

1st crusade = christian army killed all civilians in jerussalem
When Spain was under islamic control all 3 of the main religions lived peacefully and spain was at its most advanced in all fields, it was the envy of europe. when the christians took it back they massacred many.
The massacre of bosinians was commited by a christian army= 8000 killed many more raped in 1995
"Archdeacon Jortin remarks that "The account of the Jews who have been plundered, sent naked into
banishment, starved, tortured, left to perish in prisons, hanged and burnt by Christians, would fill many
volumes."
Other The Crimes of Christianity:
1- Repressing sexuality.
2- Causing of guilt. (This to me is the worst they have to answer for.)
3- Causing of fear.
4- Inconsistency.
5- Suppressing science.
6- Advocating ignorance.
7- Hypocrisy.
8- Child abuse.
9- Mental abuse.
10- Physical abuse.
11- Intolerance.
12- Stupidity.
13- Dishonesty.
14- Murder.
15- Rape.
16- Torture.
17- Advocating violence.
18- Contradiction.
19- Brainwash.
20- Coercion.
Can you actually name any Athiest regimes? Din't think so.

I think it is important not to mix up the Political agenda of an atheist with his lack of belief in God. The difference is that the crimes were not committed ‘ In the Name of Atheism’, they were committed by people who co-incidentally were atheists.
For example , the cultural revolution in China was not part of an atheistic creed. Regardless of what faith ( or lack of faith ) was in place in China , Chairman Mao would still have introduced a form of cultural revolution.
The Crusades , 9/11 and 7/7 where done ‘ In the Name of God ‘ . Remove God and they would not have happened. Remove Atheism and the cultural revolution in China would still have happened.

There has NEVER been an atheist regime.
And NO! Stalin’s and Mao's regimes weren't atheist per se.
They were communists who just happened to be atheists - they were NOT atheist regimes.
NO where, except in lying fundie literature, will you find either of those regimes described as 'atheist'.
No one has ever been killed in the 'name of atheism'.
AND next time - ask a question.
A ?mark tacked on the end of a statement does not turn a statement into a question.

Are you one of those religions nuts that can't tell the difference between atheism and communism? Perhaps you'd like to tell me what the driving force behind these "atheist regimes" is.

There is no such thing for starters.Secondly the motivation behind such "regimes" to commit what they did was not through a lack of belief in god(s),but rather political.Besides which surely an almighty sky tyrant wouldn't have allowed such crimes to have been committed?

It doesn't matter whether someone is an atheist or religious, they can be just as evil as each other. Ultimately, it's not their core belief that drives them in this, but some sort of overwhelming greed for power, status, fame or wealth.

I dont think so. I think though that any religion (or none) has their group of extremists, whether they beleive in whichever god. And I think that its the extremists regimes that far exceed those of any other religion. I have friends who are both Islam and Christian, and they are both pretty normal!
