I was raised a christian by my crazy over the top christian family who goes to church every possible day to clean the benches with their a s ses and one day I decided that I was only a christian cause I had been raised to be one, not cause I wanted to be one, I didn't like the thought that was put into my head that everything and anything you do is punishble by God, I didn't like being a robot, so the little wooden girl said " I wanna be a real girl" Aaaaaand Whalaaaaaaaaaah the fairy turned me into a real little girl with my own personality and all. At the age of 24!
Now I am a real girl and yes I do have a belly button!
Would you guys pretty please please please answer this? ;)
Pretty, pretty thanks!

I was not raised under any faith, so I had nothing to really convert from. I decided that Taoism was the truth after reading the Tao Te Ching and finding that it made more sense from a spiritual and philosophical stand-point than any of the other religions I had encountered before and after finding it. I was alway pretty confident in a higher power, just not the one that was being portrayed by the religions around me.

Haven't really decided whether there is or isn't God! When things are miserable I think there must not be a god. But when thinks go great ( this don't happen much) then I think maybe there is a god after all! It seems more often that I think there is no god than to think there is! I pray to God just in case! I even asked God to show me some signs to make it easier for me to believe in God if God really existed. I haven't noticed any signs of there being a God.. except that reasonable I suggested God not let me hear my neighbors insults.. since I asked that I haven't heard any insults.. so maybe I have to believe in God until my neighbor says an insult that I hear! I suspect it's just coincidence neighbors may have went on some holiday! It is Rembrance Day here in Canada so stores would be closed today! there probably isn't a God. I however grew up believing there was one! If there is a God then god is awfully cruel! If one finds god through experience and conviction then I'd have to say there isn't a god.. my experiences in this life have been more like hell treatments and many refused to believe the truths I've found about myself that even I hesitated to believe! I think most likely there is no god! Was Christian and Christianity proved itself unbelievable to me ( in my experiences Christianity wasn't helpful!) I tried others too Eckankar, and Buhai and even others but I think I've concluded the Idea of God was created by those who needed an Excuse for their own behaviours!

II was raised Christian. After studying science a good deal in middle and high school I had a crisis of faith. I read the Bible cover to cover in an attempt to sort things out. That made it a pretty easy decision actually.

I was raised a Christian, I decided to research the history of the religion and compare it to other religions. From there I made the rational decision that it was nothing more than the creation and opinon of one culture. With even more education I realized that it was no more real than Greek mythology.

Through personal experience. One can be influenced for short time only, but personal experience occupies the heart and soul which will last for life because it is truth, revealed in the heart and soul.

My mom has a very strong faith, and I think that influenced me a lot.
I was never forced to go to church, so I made the decision myself as I grew older, and decided what I think is the truth.

A very good study of beliefs of all kinds.........the beginnings - the making of the books..........checking it out totally.........before deciding if it was worth believing in the first place. Like the Bible and it's making....check the stories out in a encyclopedia. You learn by good study...and of course life's experiences.

I was raised in my beliefs, but then I tested them and they became very personal. I do disagree with my parents on several points, but overall, I ended up coming to the same conclusion they did.
