I heard that if you sit in a very hot room then you will sweat causing you to lose weight is this true?
I heard it from someone who does Yoga and they said basically thats all they do and it works.

Fat is stored calories and sugar you burn it off by doing cardio (running, walking, rollerblading, and etc.). When you go to a hot room or a sauna, you just lose the water in your body from your sweat glands. It also makes you dehydrated which is a health risk.

your yoga friend needs more oxygen. You can't "sweat" away body fat. You must diet and exercise. Yes you will look skinnier after a sauna, until you drink a glass of water, then the tide will come in. Sorry.

Well, it's water weight you're losing, and it's not healthy. A lot of wrestlers do this to lose weight to make their weight class. But it's probably one of the worst ways to lose weight. Just make a high protein low carb diet with lots of water and lots of cardio exercise.

You will lose weight, but it will be water weight which will unfortunately come back. The best way to lose is to exercise an hour a day and eat healthy.

Sorry its not true, the only thing you lose when sweating is sweat, water is heavy, if you sweat it out you lose weight, when you refuel your body with water, the weight goes back on again.

I hear it's true. I bought a sauna belt off an infomercial, becuase they claimed their product made you sweat fat off. I only got burns from it lol.
I know a girl who went to this spa and they wrapped her in cloth and made her sweat. She said she lost like two inches in one session.
