It only takes one time to get pregnant or acquire and STD. Some people go through life and just have sex with a few people while there others who have sex addiction and it's not so much about the numbers but the disorder. Always protect yourself and consider everyone a risk. Don't let your guard down. As a nurse, I've seen hundreds of folks die from sleeping with one too many people without protection. Religion will play a role in the numbers as well.

It really depends on your morals. To some people, two is too many. But to some, there is never enough. Personally, I believe that if you really had something for every one you've been with sexually, there shouldn't be any problem. And there's been a few screwups, that's okay, because you can learn from it, and learn not to do it again.

As long as people have their own pillows, three would be comfortable, four, even, as long as nobody rolls around too much or steals all the covers. Actually, though, it really depends on the size of the bed. If things get too crowded, someone can always crash on the couch.

That's for each individual to decide.. I think more than 1 is too many.. but I am old fashioned.

I think the answer is "As many as you can comfortably fit on your bed and still find all the required appendages".
