I'm going out of town in five hours and my throat is killing me!!!! Help!

Try stretching it backwards for a half minute. It helps with certain sore throats. Then there is the salt water thing... if it's nasal drainage causing the throat problem, you may want to try rinsing nasal passages with the warm salt water, too. Zinc preparations like "Airborne" are helpful. Chloraseptic-type throat numbers always helped... can't remember if there were side effects though. Good luck.

I hate the taste of cough drops (even though they do work) and have found that sucking on butterscotch candies helped my throat feel better.

Avoid orange juice, as its natural acidity can make your throat hurt even more.

Try drinking warm (not cold or hot drinks, but warm) drinks, like herbal tea.

Heat up (don't boil) some water and mix some salt into it. There should be just enough salt for you to barely taste it. Gargle this warm water/salt mixture and spit it out into the sink.

Heather. Gargle with heat water and a teaspoon salt.Drink Lemon.honey, and a teaspoon wine Vinegar. If youv'e superior a cough, drink a teaspoon of dried Thyme or sage, sweetened with honey. eliminates cough. save nicely!

warm liquids. gargle warm salt water. dont eat spicy foods. eat healthy. stay rested. stay out of the cold. and BOOM..its fixed.

take honey & lemon with you. drink a cup of warm water with one tablespoon of honey, and one of lemon. buy chloreseptic spray, it numbs the throat.

get a teaspoon of honey and eat it. works great. take the bottle with you of the honey
