So you noticed, eh, Joe? When I was a kid we actually had PARADES on V@ter@n day! Seems like the pazazz has fizzled out some for a lot of Americans. Hate war my self Joe, BUT sure RESPECT the ones that made sure we at home were all safe & secure. Naw, no violation notice Joe, at least not yet! If ya want a violation notice you'll have to wait for senator Clinton to take the office of president again. She'll have the PCers rattling the Y/A administration into black balling any recognition for our Vets, er, I mean baby killers, almost slipped up there Joe! Already got a violation notice today for using the phrase "Ding@ng the d@g"! Maybe I should have phrased it..."petting the poodle" but ya never know with the PC community Joe! Bad enough with the current B@sh administration wait till comrade Clinton goose steps into office! Yeah, V@ter@n D@y(Baby Killer Day!) it's kinda going the way of C@ristm@s(All gods Day!) & Th@nks@iving(Indian killers Day!) even F@ther@ D@y(Dead Beat Day!). There just not PC holidays any more Joe. Maybe it's time Joe to start "goose stepping thru the tulips", get ready for our comrade to lead us once again! One thing bugs me though about the PCers Joe. They refuse to celebrate A Liberal Day! Ya know Joe, a do anything ya wanna do day, as long as all are under PC guidelines. BUT, maybe we are already celebrating that EVERY day now!

Dude, sorry. I can see where people at Yahoo Answers might interpret some of your questions here on Answers as your own personal forum sometimes. Its supposed to appeal to millions, and ranting and raving can get, well, annoying after a while. I think they should at least direct many people wanting to start up a forum or consortium to a different forum site a little more kindly, don't you think?
But sometimes it's different to have a different opinion out there shouting out for justice, truth, and intelligence in such a world of paramecium swimming around that makes up most of the Yahoo Answerers.
So be like Jeopardy and keep it in the form of a question.
Yesterday I did not honor war veterans specifically because my town has no good outlet for them. But I do give out juice pouches to the guy on the corner holding the sign, and yesterday I helped out a friend in need of yardwork and moving as she has no others to help her - does that count? Does doing a good deed on a national holiday count towards anything?
I had a decent day helping a friend in need. Hopefully her garden will grow in the spring with all of the soil buildup we'll be doing this winter.
P.S. I prefer to thank my servicemen and women in person when I see them. And I do.

I am a Vet. And I would Like to say Thank You!! So many forget, the reason they are free to diagree with you is because of the Vets. Many may disagree with war, but it is not the Vets that made the war. I am thankful that we have these rights and don't have to look over our shoulder when we say something. These that spoke bad would be the first ones to scream, if they lost any our there rights. People do not stop and think about this. Its a shame. Thank You again, and remember you were doing something nice! Blow those others off.

I was aware of the day, but know no vets personally, and it has seemed life went on as normal, no big deal made by the general public. Or the government.
I do see in the news now and then now Vets are being considered to cost too much money to care for, and various funds are being cut or cut off, to the detriment of the vets and their families...and ultimately the country.
But that is in line with the current ideas that when one is old, or sick, or down on luck, they are a drag on our young and perfect and progressive and oh! so democratic society, so such need to be quietly ushered out of the way, permanently.
We are not the only nation doing this, either. I know of one country where if you are female and over 40 you cannot get a job, period, except they do allow the ladies to go into prostitution! We seem to be headed in such directions now. also.
Keep the perfect, shovel out of sight those who are not perfect in any way, even if working for our government protecting us is the cause of the imperfection. And the perfectly rich get richer.
I have never served in the armed forces, but I do respect those who have, and wish that those who were injured were properly cared for and given honor.
But even in my day, I do not recall the public schools teaching respect for the veterans and care for those injured...can it possibly be the attitude started way back then??

That is just plain old MESSED up, for lack of better words. People are rude, and I don't see anything wrong with wishing a HAPPY Veterans day. They say HAPPY 4th of July, why not Veterans? If it wasn't for Veterans then you wouldn't have the country which you live in. A little bit of appreciation and understanding goes a long way.

I noticed that....wonder if one particular person has it in for you and is reporting you for the tiniest flaw.
All the veterans in my family are now dead so let me throw out a big thank you to all the other vets still alive that belong to the family of God.

Sorry you got slapped yesterday. Some people have nothing better to do than report for no reason!
Yesterday at my son's school there was an assembly for Veterans Day, it was for those who served and those who are currently serving, it was nice, the kids sang patriotic songs...

So what is your question this time? Maybe you will get reported again. You violate terms, you get reported. The end. Personally, I was offended by your "happy veterans day" as if it was Christmas or Easter. I take the day to appreciate our Veterans, and reflect on the sacrifice our veterans have made, and our current servicemembers make in their line of duty. My husband included, as he is on his 5th deployment. So "happy" is such an odd word to use when you are talking about the weight of sacrifice. Appreciative is closer.
