I dont know if you have already tried this but how about taking your mom to a specialist. Maybe they can put her on some medication. Being bipolar is a very serious condition and of course it can always cause stress to the people who are around that person with the condition but everyone needs to learn how to deal with it. I am sure that you can probably go to a counseling group for families who have a family member who is bipolar. First go to your doctor, if you havent already and try and get her some professional help. good luck

You need help and you are ill-equipped to do this on your own. Talk to the local United Way Agencies or county health authorities. You need to file for federal/state assistance monies to pay for her support and treatment.

She is out of control and probably needs to be institutionalized, at least for a little while, until she gets stuff balanced out.

If they cannot certify her to enter the real world as a productive human being, at least they can put her in a nice supervised group home where she will be supervised and cared for.

I know people who have had to do this. It is far better to get this kind of help for her, so then you can visit her and take her out to dinner every so often.
