Im pretty sure that last part can be applied to anyone.
"(People in a group) are all different, and simply knowing that someone is a (part of that group) does not entitle one to make assumptions about their opinions regarding religion, politics, or anything else for that matter"

Sure, but you can put christians in the place of atheists in that last sentence and I would hope the atheists on this message board would agree, too.
(although SOME atheists wouldnt agree because it seems according to a couple of questions ago we religious people are just child abusers)

Yes.
I consider myself something of an authority, having been one myself for forty years and actively involved on local, state, and international levels for eighteen years. You've summarized a point I've been trying to make, even within organizations that should know it, for years!

I make the distinction between atheists and agnostics thus: agnostics generally don't care, or don't claim to know, whereas atheists tend to believe that God doesn't exist (even though you can't prove a negative) as blindly as your average fundie believes that God does.

I can't say if I agree with it or not. I am not an Atheist. I don't know what they think. I would assume they are different just like professing Christians. Knowing I claim to be one tells you very little about me really.

I am sorry for being in gross disagreement with you.
They are atheists may be after giving a good thought to all about religions?
are u.k citizens denied to watch brazil-argentina match?
are muslims not allowed to speak about bush?
are vegans not allowed to sell meat?
Then how can you deny right to veote for/against religion to atheists or for that reason, anybody else?
You seem to be too agressive about religions.

yes, I do agree with that. It also stands for followers of any faith too though I think We are all individuals, and we all follow our own path, so we can't say ALL christians, muslims, jews, buddhists, hindus, pagan etc believe exactly the same things and think in the same ways as their fellow christians, muslims, jews, buddhists, hindus, pagan etc
