Hell, I was on the roof at my store putting up lights last week - they are plugged in all the time already - and it's bringing people in. My store Christmas tree has been up since the day before Halloween. I've already made more Christmas ornaments this year than in all other years combined.
Have your fun - just don't act like because my belief set is different, I can't celebrate in my own unique secular way.

And what religion are you? If your a christian why the Hell are you celebrating xmas for? Jesus (although he never exsisted) wasn't born then, that's just Sextus Julius Africanus interpretation of the old testament. Also don't you find it odd that Pagans celebrate Yule at the exact same time, its not very original stealing other people's holidays now is it?
Oh and by the way, though I'm an athiest, I still celebrate christmas, I know the day is meaningless but I like the sterotypical holiday. Family, lights, tree, open fire, food etc...
I've never heard any 'whining' about decorations infact its usually the christians whining about how no one respects what the holiday stands for. They cry and whinge about how no one remembers jesus on christmas day and do you wanna know why they dont remember him....because no one cares!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are not upset to see Christmas decorations. Just like we're not upset to see Hanukkah decorations, nor would we be upset to see Muslim decorations.
Fortunately for you, the US was founded as a secular nation by the founding fathers who had lived with religious oppression. That's why it is illegal for government or any publicly-funded organization to advocate any particular religion (by celebrating religious holidays or by punishing those who do not).
So, I guess the question is, how would you feel if the US government celebrated Ramadan, but not Christmas?
When you have answered that question reverse it and there's your answer.

I'm cool with it as long as the "Put Christ Back in Christmas" committee doesn't start putting life size nativity scenes on ever other corner. If you want to secularize Christmas and make it a party for partying's sake (like you inferred in your question), then don't complain when it becomes a commercial holiday with very little sacredness left. Either that or keep the darn thing to yourself!
I'm part of the "Separate Religion and State Committee". :)

What if you're not Christian.
What if you're Muslim? Why don't we put up Eid decorations? Probably because Christians would be whining about terrorism.
People have the right to be upset about that, it's like being forced to celebrate something you're not a part of.
Not that I'm upset, I love christmas, the lights the snow that PRESENTS, CANDY CANES

The beautiful lights and trees all originate from pagan holidays and have nothing to do with Christimas (So why are they whining???)
Winter holidays are universal. Whats the big deal?
I am not an atheist, nor am a christian.

I'm okay with Christmas - it's just a pagan, secular holiday for all to celebrate.
But to have the decorations up, like, two months early is just stupid.

I don't know why some atheists want to do away with christmas lights.....I'm an atheist....and they are just lights....they don't bother anyone. The second those lights start to preach or somethin'....then that's a different story

Hey, if you find joy in trampling on the First Amendment...
... you will find me a determined adversary.
I don't give a damn what you do to your own lawn, or in your office, or whatever. But putting Christmas decorations up in a courthouse sends a pretty clear "We don't really respect our own laws" message.

I don't mind lights on buildings, light poles, trees, and the like. I would have a problem with a Nativity scene on public property, though.
