Happy, I am almost 5 years into a divorce that hasn't ended. I have done stages too. Darn similar to what you say. I almost Love my independence more then anything now. I have a G/F
and she cannot understand why I won't let her all the way into my heart. Well simple fact is that I fell in Love with my wife or now to be X and I really do not believe there will be another. I will always compare them...(not that I do) I just won't let her get that close to me. I had my children, they are 14 and 16 a boy and a gal.....I love them very much, I know my X is a good mother, I know that the reason for us not being together was my fault (40 had to do someone young) not quite that simple but I did......Getting over any relationship just darn right will take time and someone to give it to you that you can trust.......upon that trust will be Love. I am there, I can say I love my G/F but have I let her in for all of me.....NO....she tolerates it, (I don't know why) she does though. I am thankful she does. Hell someday................Ken

I'm sorry you've had to feel like this long term doll. We all get stuck in these ruts.
Have you ever tried venting to a friend? It's extremely exhausitng geting it all out, but once your done, you feel better. Maybe not a first, but the days afterward, it's a great feeling knowing that someone else sees it from your perspective and understands.
Dont try and force the smiles. Open up to somebody, be vulnerable and share your feelings.
As for wanting to care, first Im going to take focus on yourself. Work out whats going with you. When your done with that youll find its a lot eaiser to take care and notice of whats going on in others lives.
Cheep up baby, go find a bestfriend, grab coffees and vent, cry, yell. Whatever, just do it.
Thats all I did first year engineering. :P

You must confer with a psychiatrist. You could be suffering from clinical depression. It's possible for the condition to cause depression even if there's nothing really bad going on in your life. A good psychiatrist can offer you both medications that are very effective and referrals to therapists who specialize in mood disorders. A lot of these services are available in clinics on a "sliding scale fee basis" which takes into account both your income AND expenses.

The best way to get over a man, is to get under another one! lol
No....seriously, you should probably see your doctor...it sounds like you may have some real depression issues. Lots of times you can get a prescription for a while to help you get over these kind of things. Depression is a serious issue and dont let anyone tell you different. Take care of yourself first, all the other stuff will follow. Best of luck.

Get some help, psychologist, therapist DO NOT BE AFRAID OR ASHAMED OF THEM! THEY HELP! Maybe look into antidepressants, you may be suffering from depression and may not even know it. When times get hard emotionally, we are not always strong enough to do things alone. Get some help honey, because you have to get up. And get your life back in order, trust me, being happy is the best feeling in the world, but coming out of being sad is the best success anyone can have. Good Luck!

Same with me sometime back....take some time off....& have a good sleep, its all because of ur lifestyle, u think u dont have any energy ...My advice --Make a proper routine sleep early-wake up early(u'll find it difficult for some days i know) , go for a morning walk with some soft music in ur ears ....U just need some freshness & change in ur lifestyle....Its just a phase which comes in everyone's life when u just get fed up....Wait for ur Time, u sound very impaitient...

You might want to try to spend time with your family. Learning to value the things and persons you have around make you see life in a different perspective. Enjoy your family now, because tomorrow is not promised.

THAT IS A VERY HARD THING TO DO AS I WAS AND STILL AM IN THE SAME SHAPE. IN THIS WORLD OF DISAPPOINTMENTS THAT WE LIVE IN, YOU JUST HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO OVER COME THEM AND LOOK AT THE POSITIVE.EASIER SAID THAN DONE RIGHT? YOU CAN TRY A QUICK FIX LIKE PROZAC. OR FIND A HOBBY. HARD TO SAY. I DO NOT KNOW YOU
