my friend (is a professional piercer) and he was talking to a lady about that last week... he said to put a warm damp rag (wash cloth) over it for (i think 10 minutes...could be longer) every day for a few weeks and it should go away... but most people give up after the first day or so...

a keloid is an overgrowth of scar tissue. The area has healed, but the skin is continuing to regenerate. You'll know you have a keloid if you have a scar that looks like a mole, cyst or bump on your navel. you will have to go to the doctor to have it removed.

I had a couple on my face from an acne scar. They looked like white moles. They were continuing to get bigger and bigger. My doctor sent me to a plastic surgeon to have them removed.
