Ok im in a drug rehab and had to take a test at my last meeting. Although i have done absolutely no drugs the test came back positive for benzos. To be quite honest I dont even know what benzos are. I do know it is a pill, but what kind? The only prescribed med I am taking is voltaren and I really dont think that it is a narcotic. Pills werent even my drug of choice so if my test was positive it wouldn be for that. Can some one please tell me if the voltaren could have caused a positive result for benzo.

No, Voltaren would not come back as a benzo. Voltaren is an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory). It's mostly used to treat the pain and inflammation of different forms of arthritis. It's not a scheduled drug, like a benzo is.

Benzo's (or benzodiazepines) are drugs that are commonly prescribed mostly for anxiety, as well as certain sleep disorders. Among them are Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan, and Valium.

If Voltaren is the only med you are taking, and it came back as a benzo, that's very strange....I'd be asking for a re-test!
