It all depends on what you are looking for if you want to do volunteer work I would suggest the Salvation Army. But if you want to volunteer and give money the Shrine Hospitals are the BEST! They offer FREE orthopedic surgeries and devices( casts, crutches, wheelchairs, limbs) to all children under the age of 18 and if you have already received service from them they will continue to treat you until you are 21. I know that the shriners get a bad rap for being drunks, but not all of them are and they all have one thing on their minds, to help out less fortunate children. My grandfather, my dad, uncles and all of their friends are shriners and I am a past shrine patient, and I thank them all the time for what they helped me with. My mother, my sister and I are also in the local Shrine Ladies Club, and my husband is planning on joining the shrine in about a year or so. If you live near one of the Hospitals you should go and ask for a tour, you won't be the same after seing all of the sick kids that they have helped.

I hope this helps you!
