One thing that had not been mentioned is that she was showing you how to crochet with yarn. The needle she was using would have letters followed by numbers. There are smaller neeedles that are referred to by numbers only and that is what is used for thread. The yarn is used mostly on clothing and and the smaller needles are used for doilies and scarfs. If you want to do doilies let me know and I will give you a publisher that has beautiful patters.

It is very well done but i have two comments.
First, the hook you show is rather small for beginners. I find that children, especially, learn more easily with a slightly larger hook. The smaller one produces tighter stitches that can frustrate even an adult.
Second, your still pictures don't really show the positions of the hands except for a few glimpses. I think people need more of a mental image of how to hold the hook and the yarn. Also, it would be good to show a left-handed person crocheting (or flip some of the pictures).

I do the two, and that i think of the two are ordinary. I found out to knit English kind while i replaced into 7 and found out to crochet at age 10. some years later, I switched knitting kind to Continental by way of fact it contains an analogous motions as crochet, and that i think of maximum crocheters could have an greater handy time discovering to knit the continental approach. execs of crochet: a million. swifter than knitting 2. Produces a greater impregnable/thicker fabrics than knitting utilising an analogous yarn 3. Can produce a greater physically powerful variety of lacy stitches 4. Makes great finding edgings and Cons: a million. makes use of greater yarn to disguise an analogous form of sq. inches 2. much less supple and versatile than knitting 3. The stitches are greater crude finding in expanses of "easy" sewing (row after row of sc or dc vs stockinette stitch). 4. The mere *concept* of a crocheted sock is a turn-off execs of Knitting: a million. An countless style of fabrics might nicely be created 2. makes use of much less yarn for an analogous insurance than crochet 3. Produces versatile, supple fabrics 4. much less in all probability to make blunders; blunders greater handy to discover and fasten 5. i discover knitting greater relaxing than crocheting (which would be in simple terms me)

I like your tutorial, and I'm also interested in the ads at the bottom of the page. Is this a good way for talented crafters to earn a little bit of cash?
