I have a Nissan Altima 3.5 with almost 45K miles on it and, it was reccomended that the first tune up should begin at 105K. Is this reasonable?

As long as the check engine light does not turn on your ok. Modern cars spark plugs last a long time. Now for injector service and intake and combustion chamber cleaning the dealer trys to sell read your owners manual just do the services it says and run premium fuel all the time. Better Gasoline will give you approx 2 mpg so the extra cost is asorbed in better economy.

For Altima that should be fine. If you're the type that worry too much though, i suggest you tune it after (105-15)K. Hope this helps

Naw, tune it up every 100,000 miles. That's what most mechanics recommend.

after every 30,000 miles because you can have some slight trouble and it is recommended.
