Stay in good shape by doing the little things like taking the stairs instead of the elevator or riding a bike or walking to a store instead of driving. Just keep a good diet, dont eat alot of fats and sugars, also low cholesterol foods are a plus, you dont want to die. Play some type of sport or get an active hobby that you like and you wont even notice that you are working out. The gym is a fun place to be, just think of how nice you will look after you have done it, thats what keeps me motivated at a gym.

well, to motivate urself to get up an exercise would be the result, a more toned/buff bod that you can be proud of and definitely attract more of the opposite sex, you feel better about urself because you're healthy, you're able to do more things that require physical strength/endurance. that should be motivation enough.
but if ur still not motivated, here are some other ways that will help u stay in shape.
diet-you don't necessarily have to become a vegetarian. you can still eat the foods you want, just in smaller portions. but the best way is to eat smaller meals/replace with periodical snack times with healthy foods i.e. apples.
exercise-you can try ddr, it is a great fun and self-motivating way to lose weight and become fit. there are a couple of other fitness video games but ddr is probably the most popular and fun/easy way to do it. or u can just participate in a sport that you find fun. all sports require you to move around, even sports like ping pong, so just find one that you like a lot and play it. if u don't like to sweat too much, swimming is probably one of the best sports.

stick a picture of a person with the type of body you want on your mirror (maybe even cut your head out of a picture and stick it on there body if u r super keen!!!) . So when u get up in the morning it gives you some motivation to be good. Or when u r working out, picture ure self running towards that body.
There are loads of exercises you can do at home, like crunches, and press ups, lunges. all ones that use your own body weight to work out, there is no need to go to the gym really. It can all be done from home.

Do you have 30 minutes, every day to spare? Then, you can do exercise in your own home. You need exercise to keep your muscles toned, and in shape. If you don't use them, then you become flabby and overweight. Start walking places, take stairs instead of an elevator, run in place. Get some weights and exercise your arms. It will take time, but you can increase in time, and you will see results and feel better.

Find something you enjoy doing. When I don't feel like exercising, I go rollerblade or bike and put my iPod on, because it doesn't feel like a chore then. Another thing I'll do, tell myself I can get one Starbucks coffee or piece of cheesecake, etc. on Sunday if I do a little exercise every day during the week, and ONLY if I do that much.

Also, find that things that are easy things to do while you're just watching TV. Buy some dumbells and work on your arms, do crunches, pushups, etc.

Well what I did is realize I wanted to feel better and I wanted to be healthy and be around to actually be able to play with my grand-kids :-)
So I started with walking, it was hard to get out there at first but once I got into it ...wow! Now I cant wait to go! I take my dogs and they are so excited when they see me put on my walking shoes( How they know those shoes mean a walk is amazing)
So what I guess I am saying is just make yourself get active and then you will find you really like it! Good Luck

you need to evaluate ure goals and how important and vital exercise is, then once u make the commitment- u go despite emotions. dont let emotions or feelings get in the way of your solid commitments. besides the gym, u can join group sports, run, cycle, swim..the list is endless. do what u love and find fun, and then do it no matter if ure having a bad day or not.
good luck :)

Your motivation depends on how badly you want to get on shape. In replacemet to gym:
Chest:
1_ Push ups flat on ground - flat bench press
2_ Foot on ground & hands on bench - ascending bench press
3_ Foot on bench & hands on ground - descending bench press

Shoulders & back:
1_ Pull ups front - back muscles
2_ Pull ups back - shoulder

Triceps & Biceps
1_ No substitute for dumbells
2_ two bench, one at front and the other at back. Put hands on back bench; put feet on the front bench, then push.

Thighs & Calf:
1_ Crouching from standing position
2_ Frog leaps
3_ Feet placed 3/4 from an edge then push upwards.

Sit ups.. Do what you can.. :)

But I highly suggest you try the gym for about a month then do trainings on your own.

Happy training!!

Umm... cause you'll be healthy and it will make you feel better and you'll probably loose weight and look better too. You could run or just do things like push ups or crunches and some weights at home. I think you should just promise yourself you'll exercise for a week and at the end of the week if you feel better, you'll want to keep doing it.

If anything take time and just WALK. if not JOG lightly for a few minutes a day. And since your a guy you'll actually burn more calories Because guys have more of a bigger muscle mass then girls they burn 30% more in calories. So a little a day will actually help in the long run.

I hope I helped!
