It's all preference, alot of "experts" say that the dog should sleep on thefloor and the Alpha dog (you) gets the most comfortable places, which is good to keep order in the pack for the dog, but my bed is filled with 3 dogs every night, and I like they just where they are, they alert me if they hear something, so it's not bad, it's only bad if you don't want them there.

There's nothing wrong with having your dog in your bed. My two jump up on the bed after my husband goes to work (for most of the night one sleeps on the floor and the other sleeps in his crate). Some people say that if you let your dog sleep in your bed they'll be too dominant towards you and won't obey you anymore, but that's mouse manure. My two know that I'm the alpha of the pack. In the end, it's what you're comfortable with.

I have a chihuahua/yorkie mix. He crawls underneath the blanket and worms his way into my arms like a teddy bear everynight. He doesn't sleep well otherwise, and neither do I. I do not feel it's a dominance issue as he definatly treats me as pack leader in every other submissive way. And he may be little, but he produces so much heat! With my husband over seas and living in upstate NY, you take what heat you can! lol

ok countless this, do not permit him on the mattress, form of advice is predicated on the %. alpha gets the best drowsing place theory. This is likewise a number of a similar foundation of advice to alwayss bypass with the aid of a door first, alway consume till now feeding the dogs ect.. each darn a sort of are violated on an widespread basis by utilising human beings who have not any subject protecting the alpha place. Alpha canines at times do not insist on some authority issues that are actually not important to them too - my alpha lady we could my sisters canines have all the toys, yet woe to them in the event that they take the piece of fixtures she needs! even nonetheless for an ineffective guy or woman who has problems putting forward authority those little issues could make the version between the protecting any authority or having the dogs get complatly uncontrolled. So my suggestion is bypass forward permit him sleep with you yet DO take a uncomplicated obedience class (and prepare with him in particular circumstances all his existence) - annoying to declare you are the boss whilst sitting & downing to somebody else orders! Even tricks like shake & roll over will help...

Ditto on the dominance thing. Dog's natural intstict is to want to sleep next to the pack leader. Some people say to truly assert yourself as pack leader the dog should have a separate sleeping place, not even in your bedroom. That said, our lovable, completely non-dominant golden retreiver sometimes sleeps in our bed when there's room.

The only bad thing you are doing is bathing your dog so often. It is not good for her as you are going to dry out her skin. My thought is if the dog does not stink it does not need a bath.
I sleep with my four dogs, a Chi/Rat Terrier, a Beagle and two Pit Bulls. They do not stink and do not get baths, except for one of the Pitts that has allergy's that gets a bath when she gets to itching a lot, maybe once a month.

There is nothing wrong with sleeping with your dog. The dog is supposed your best friend and if you enjoy sleeping with him than do it. I sleep with my two dogs in the bed with me. You might not want to wash the dog so much as it will dry out their skin. I only wash my once every other week but I brush them often. Have fun and enjoy your dog.

hello there.
i don't think it's bad if you like it and don't mind it.
i couldn't let my dogs sleep on the bed with me because i have one with dominance issues so he has to sleep in the basket. he would otherwise growl and not even let us on the bed. the dog that is higher ranking. ironically my smallest dog my chihuahua maltese mix is the boss. and she sleeps in bed with me. she has a basket she can go sleep in if she feels like there is no space for her but otherwie i don't think it's a bad idea if your dog sleeps with you if he doesn't protect you from others approaching the bed or not even letting you sleep in it.
i wish sweet dreams

I hope not because I sleep with more than one. It's your preference. There is no right. If you enjoy having her in bed then by all means invite her to be there.
It's not good to bathe her so often. Brush her every day and she will be fine to be in the bed.
