The answers above are quite correct and you should also avoid using perfumed soaps, wear cotton underwear and avoid cycling and horse riding.
There is a solution to the problem of yeast infections. You need to take two teaspoons of this solution on a daily basis and make douches which you can apply to the affected area. It will kill all the bacteria but is non-toxic. It is patented and this is a copy from patent testing:
Human Studies From Four Different Hospitals
Four human clinical trial studies in four different hospitals have been completed to date, including 124 patients. The studies were designed to test the oral use of the product (at 10 ppm) to treat 18 different human ailments and diseases. In these studies there were no failures, and almost all patients were deemed as fully recovered in less than one week. The studies included ailments such as: upper respiratory tract infections, eye infections, ear infections, urinary tract infections, sore throats, abdominal pain and diarrhea, bronchitis, vaginal yeast infections, external cuts, gonorrhea, pelvic inflammatory disease, various mouth problems, retro viral infections, Malaria, etc. The product was found to be so effective that the country of Ghana approved the product as an antibiotic-alternative drug.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:
https://bitly.im/aMJBJ
Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

euww i hate the term yeast infection - use thrush why don't ya?
bacteria causes it - from wiping the wrong way after using the toilet (always front to back ladies) or tight pants for too long or even sex. Symptoms include itching and thick white goo coming from the area
Try and up your good bacteria intake but basically just use good hygiene

It can be an overgrowth of bad bacteria, usually due to a lack of good bacteria, often caused when taking antibiotics. Eat yogurt regularly or take probiotics regularly. These both contain active good bacteria which keep the bad bacteria under control.

Basically there is yeast inside of the body. Depending on the climate they will either stay the same, grow fast, or grow slow. It just depends on what is going on in the body. What you are putting into it, what you are feeding it, stress, ect.
