Consciousness is an emergent behavior of the brain. To have a unified consciousness, we'd have to have a unified brain.

If that's true, how come so many parts of us keep killing the other parts?
Also, it would mean that no matter who I slept with, it would be the same thing as masturbation. I don't know if that makes it more sinful or less sinful. It certainly destroys any argument against homosexuality, though.

i had this thought when i smoked a whole lot of pot one night in college and was fascinated by buzzing neon lights over a plate of onion rings.
i don't believe that right now though.
