I would like to know how long can a UK citizen stay in Canada visa free when visiting family or friends in Canada before having to return back to the UK If anyone could assist me i would be most grateful.

A UK visitor doesn't have to worry about anything for 6 months.

U.K. citizens do not need a visa to visit in Canada and they may stay up to 6 months. See site below. It includes a link for info on an extension.

your country is in the list as you can see.
you are allowed to be in Canada for 180 days without visa.

I think you are good without a Visa for 180 days.

you can stay for 6 months without a visa and in some cases you can extend your stay by filling out a form at LEAST one month before your 6 months is up
