There's nothing wrong with gay people teaching in public schools. As long as they're doing their jobs, their sexual orientation is irrelevant.
However, if it's a religious school that follows a certain belief, that might be a different issue. I'm assuming that teachers in religious schools are supposed to be religious too.

This is very interesting.
My brother is a GAY teacher! We both are not Christa in and proud of that fact. We did grow up in a Christian home and hated it.
My brother teaches middle school gym...lol. Better start freaking Christian's. He knows everything about his kids. He would never ever let them get hurt or he would never ever hurt them. As a matter of fact..one of the kids, he had to call the cops on his "holy Christian" father do to child abuse and molestation.
The law of separation of school and state. Works well here in America. All of GAYS use it too. I use separation because of religion. But when someone says the my brother will probably molest the kids? You need to go the public schools and ask for the molestation file...for what ever year you want. YOU will be surprised! While your at it ask for the files for gays and lesbians. YOU wont find many files that have to do with molestation.
In Laramie, Wyoming in the year 2002/2003. There was a man name Mathew Sheppard. My brother and Mathew were best friends before he got killed by three men that were afraid of gay men.
If everyone starts "picking" on the gays and lesbians...your brother or sister will be died too.

I don't think Christian's really feel this way. Unless you are talking about a religious school. Which I then think they have the right to hire who they feel is "qualified." It does matter what type of lifestyle they lead and it is not just about being gay. It includes any lifestyle that isn't taught in the bible to be morally correct. I think when people say it is Christian's who feel this way they are just trying to start problems. As far as the public school I am a Christian and as long as the gay teachers aren't pushing their lifestyle on the kids I don't care and I think this is how a good majority of Christians feel too.

Why are we all hell bent on making other peoples choices. I am not gay, but do not believe I have the right to choose who someone else can have feelings for. Whether it is nature or nurture does not matter. People have choices, I make my own choices in life and I do not want anyone telling me who I can or cannot be friends with, acquaintances with, lovers with, or anything else. As far as it being in the schools, just plain wrong. We should be teaching our children that everyone is entitled to Free choice regardless of what that entails. My religion teaches that God put us on this earth with the Freedom of free choice and we will pay for our choices when we die. Our laws were first set to punish us for some of the ten commandments here on earth, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not kill, etc. To me that is fair. Your choices are hurting others here and now and for that you should be punished here and now. But, so many of the other are just controlling. Why should you care who people choose to be with, how does it change your life? Tell these teachers to start teaching the kids math and to leave their personal feelings at home with their kids.

I'm not sure I've read the same thing.
Any one can be a danger to children through bad example, evil influence and corrupted teachings. I don't think they can keep their life-style and anti-Christian biased views out of the classroom. They definitely want to teach kids that homosexuality is an acceptable alternative life-style (it's actually self-destructive) and these days their tactic is to call all Christians hate-mongers for saying homosexuality is a sin. Also, homosexuals in general (specific numbers?) want the age of consent to be lowered. Think about that homo or lesbian being in your kids gym class or being the wrestling coach. Perverted huh? Yes, straight folks can be just as perverted and it doesn't apply to them all but the risk seems higher according to the studies done.
Yes, one sin is just as bad as another but at the same time some sinners carry more demonic possessions and persuasions with them as Jesus himself once said about one particular demonic possession, "This kind" requires prayer and fasting to expel. I feel that also applies to the demon of homosexuality. All sins lead to death but usually if someone can steal the minds of your children to convince them to join the ranks of homosexuality, they will seldom ever get loose from it. I would not trust a homosexual with my children no matter how professional. If you hang around the wrong long enough it will rub off on you.

Well, if you want religious influence in schools send your child to a private religious school, but our nation's laws say there should be a separation of church and state. Religious groups need to realize that they can't control everyone, we all have rights to beleive what we want and do what we want (legally). There is nothing wrong with homosexuals, and they have every right to be teachers if they want to.

Hush, you. It isn't polite to point out the hypocrisy of others.
A sin is ok if you think that you may end up doing it, or may remember a time when you did it. Its only the stuff that the person pointing the finger at the time finds uncomfortable to think about themselves doing that comprises the list of really real sins.

I fully agree with you, all sins are equally sinfull.
I think the difference is if you are learning to overcome your sin, or if you are wallowing in it and have no intention in giving it up. If you have no intention of giving it up (regardless of the type of sin) I think you should not be teaching in a Christian school. In a public school it is another matter because people are not claiming to be anything other than what they are so if you choose to send your kids there you have no right to complain.
