how many calrories would i have to eat in order to lose 1 pound per day

You would have to eat 3500 less calories than your body needs for the day. That is impossible since your body needs only about 2000 for a typical person living a typical day.

Unless you are doing some super strenuous task all day long it is not going to happen. If you can sweat a lot you can imagine you are losing a lot of weight but that comes back as soon as you have something to drink

To LOSE a pound, you have to reduce your calorie intake by 3500 calories...

In other words - you would have to consume 0 calories, and find a way to burn off 1500 calories EACH AND EVERY DAY!!!

(Edit: the female body consumes an average of 2000 calories a day - 2500 for men - JUST to function properly. And YES - I am aware that eating NOTHING forces the body into "Starvation Mode"...)

You'd have to have a net caloric intake of -3500 calories to lose a pound per day. You'd have to work off that many more calories than you put into your body. Could be several hours on an elliptical machine..
