This is one of the largest commitments this country has at present - yet John Howard has not one word to say about it - no exit strategy, no plan for peace. Why not?

No need for an exit strategy from a war? Should it go on for ever then? Clearly JH doesnt have a clue when the Iraq situation will end because he is not in control of it, the Americans are and they dont know either.

He supports the war on terror and I guess sees that as an ideal that does not need an 'exit strategy'.

Also, Australia is a very well run country (in comparison to most), hence his fixation on home issues shows.

I know he's had a few years in power now, but he seems to have done well.

Keep him.

WHY should Iraq (have) be(en) mentioned in the Australian Coalition's Re-election Campaign?

Now that it's clear what the REAL reason for the invasion was (OIL, not WDM or Saddam's tyranny, or the Coalition Of The Willing's compassion for Iraqi's welfare), more and more Australians feel they have been duped by John Howard, and they want to punish him by voting him out. He is to cunning not to realise that, so why should he mention Iraq at all, rather than keep his mouth shut on this issue?...

I think you'd rather ask Bush. Howard doesn't dare to do anything without Bush's approval. And for the rest of Australians, I don't think your people care much about Iraqis, just as long as you can make Americans happy.

Because the war is unpopular, and Australia soldier must be compulsary which involes with America. Also both parties Labour and Liberal don't want to mention about it.
