Jesus is the best friend a Christian woman ever had. He broke every cultural convention of his day to treat women as complete human beings. He taught Mary of Bethany as a disciple when women weren't supposed to be bright enough to be taught much of anything. He entrusted women with the news of his resurrection first, when a woman's word was not considered worth as much as a man's. He protected women from abuse, he demanded that justice be meted out equally (the woman taken in adultery), he recognized their sorrows and concerns. He valued their company and praised their good deeds. For over 40 years (see, I'm old) some men have tried to convince me I'm inferior, but they never have and never will, because Jesus taught me better.

These "interactions" between the Son of God and women proved that ALL are welcome to come! Women, were valued by the Lord. In fact, much of His ministry was funded by the women followers, of that day! However, the "time" that Christ lived, women were not as important as the men were. Men dominated households, synogogues, government and societal trends. Not so, with how the Lord treated women!
In as much, this only tells us how much greater His love is for us. He went against what mankind deemed as prudent and reached His loving Hands, out to All!

Good question!
I love those stories, because reading them ...I feel closer to Jesus - his personality. He obviously cares for women very much, and respects them. The way he acts towards women is the way I wish every guy would act towards women. I keep thinking how literally in love with Jesus I would be if I lived back then :) Maybe He'd be thinking, "Wow, everywhere I go, there she is!"

Jesus is compassionate and merciful. We are told that God is no respecter of persons, judges impartially and is a righteous judge. God looks at our hearts.
Another instance in the Word of God is where Jesus says woe to those who are with child and nursing (when they are to flee Jerusalem) this to me is the perfect picture of compassion for women. He is looking ahead to a day in the future and is concerned for women. He is my Savior and a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Well, it shows me that Jesus did not hand women "the backseat". Meaning they were important to him. Many churches keep women from participating in various ways because they believe the women are to be in submission to the men. However, since Jesus didn't go to these women's husbands or fathers before healing them, it shows us that we are very dear to him and he loves us as well. It shows me that no matter if we are male or female, God loves us the same and wants to have a relationship with each and every one of us.

Jesus loves women. Reading these accounts about how Jesus responded to women, it shows me that He is compassionate and gracious with me as well. It also shows me that no matter what I have done, His blood and His love covers it all.

That He values females equally to males. He is honest and up-front with them. It seems likes He was even able to speak more frankly with the women mentioned in the bible then with some of the men He dealt with.
I know He respects me, He cherishes me and He has called me to a task just like He has called men to tasks.

I accept as true with you. yet you should understand, Jesus replaced into proper and devoid of sin, and we are imperfect and interested in sin. yet I agree that we do want greater tolerance. this is demanding to stability faith against emotion. What I advise by using it is, i'm Christian, and that i choose for all of us to be saved. yet I additionally ought to persist with Jesus' occasion and bear in mind that I nevertheless ought to tolerate people who're diverse or poor sinners. So this is a skinny line to stroll, yet despite the fact that if or no longer somebody has faith, all of us nevertheless ought to learn how to tolerate one yet another's adjustments and love one yet another, despite the fact that if we gained't agree. do no longer you think of?

Jesus could always count on us and we are there for Jesus when the men would not step up to the plate. That goes for the past and the present.

If there's a woman doing the adultery, isn't there a MAN doing it to?
