So I was talking to this lady I work with. She was saying that she knows people who basically "died" on an operating table but were brought back to life by those paddles (yeah yeah i don't know the name, don't judge me) and they basically had an out of body experience and could see themselves being operated on. Anyone else hear of this?

I personally think it's a load of crap but if more people attest to it maybe i'll change my mind.

How old are you? Those stories have been around ever since they invented the 'defibrillator' and CPR.
One hospital paints a message on top of one of the tall cabinets in the 'crash room', so they can tell if people really had an 'out of body' experience or not.
Results - some could repeat the message, some couldn't.

Yes. Not insane. Don't have to be goofy to have it happen to you, either. It happens. It has happened countless times to countless people over countless years. Any research will prove it. Just research OutOfBody experience. It happened to me on the way down the hospital hall on the gurney. I could see myself from above, being wheeled. It must have been just a close moment, though, since paddles weren't needed. I was close to death, just lucky enough to have survived. The paddles are de-fibrillators.

I agree with you that it is a load of crap.
All that happens is that the oxygen-deprived brain starts shutting down and releases a flood of endorphins, and all sorts of chemical events happen, which cause the visions and "out of body" experiences that people experience.
