1)Praying to God for them
2)Showing them prophecies: Actually, according to the bible Christians are supposed to keep the Sabbath day holy as Jesus Christ and the Apostles did (Lk 4:16, Acts 17:2,) because the 10 commandments say so (Ex 20:8).
The bible testifies that God's Laws (Sabbath day being one of them) was going to be changed by Satan as prophesied in the bible (Dan 7:21). Whoever changes the Sabbath *Saturday* to anything else is considered Satan in the eyes of God. The Catholic Church fulfilled this prophecy of changing the set times and laws in AD325 w/ Pagan Roman Emperor Constantine who established the Catholic Church and who was a high priest of the "Sun-God".
why Christians go to church on Sunday? To honor the "sun" not God. that's why it's called "Sun-Day" the day of the sun. that's a prophecy that will get them to believe among many other :)
2nd Coming Christ came in 1948 that's how I know these things:)

For this atheist to believe in god, one must present some pretty convincing evidence of the objective, validatable, verifiable type that supports the existence of that god.

I think what you need to do is introduce God and he will find a way to reveal himself.Just the fact that you asked this question will begin discussions that will travel and bring more than that one atheist to the Lord. And who knows if you cannot convince him one day one of the others will. Just keep the faith alive and be a good poster child.

Why would someone want to get an atheist to believe in God? I don't understand you Christians. Isn't your job just to "pass the word"? Why do you think you have to convert every damn person you meet? I think you all set it as a goal or something, but in reality you are just annoying everyone. You wear your faith on your sleeve!

Nothing.
Except one of the gods appearing live, and doing something god-like. Turning the moon yellow with purple stripes say.

Probably nothing. If I thought I saw God, I would probably realize that I was insane. While I can't disprove the existence of God, I do believe in the laws of science, and that can't be taken away.

Some evidence would be a start. Also, believing is one thing; respecting and worshiping is quite another. Nothing short of physical force could compel me to grovel to the creator of this world with all of its suffering and misery.

Maybe if God made a physical appearance before the unbeliever. That would convince me.

Wellll if there is such a thing as a deity, one would expect to see certain things in the world - what specifically, depends on the nature of the deity in question.
