Princess! Holland America has fantastic ships, great service and incredible food, but their clientèle tends to be older.
Princess is all about romance. The Grand Princess departs from Los Angeles on March 8 for the Pacific side of Mexico; the Crown Princess departs the same day for the east coast, Cozumel, with a few stops along the way.
If possible, get a balcony cabin (Princess is great about upgrades -- if one is available, they will offer it) so you can enjoy romantic dinners or coffee in the morning, in the privacy of your balcony... watching the sun set or rise... fantastic!

Suggestion is to book it asap as pricing tends to go up not down the closer to sailing. First have a budget in mind, think about what type cabin you want and then go to the cruisecritic.com boards and read about the week you are thinking about. Western Caribbean itinerary is a good one with tons of water activities and shopping. Holland America will tend to have a slightly more formal atmosphere and excellent service. Princess may have more families and mid aged couples. Both cruise lines are excellent in the Caribbean. Each line has their good points to consider. Have heard that Princess food may be a tad better than HAL and there may be more choices at the buffet. All depends on what you like and how much eating weighs in your decision. Whatever you decide, do it now and have a great cruise!

There are countless cruise lines to choose for between. i think the main suitable 6 to 9 day cruise on your cost going to Mexico from la or San Diego in February is the Diamond Princess. you have rates as low as $499 consisting of port costs. The Diamond Princess replaced into inbuilt 2004 as against Norwegians deliver (Norwegian celeb) which replaced into inbuilt 2001.

Check out CruiseCritic.com, "Boards"; also "Reviews".
March is a busy time, so hop to it!! It's also going to be more expensive than other times of the year.
Have never sailed Princess, but Holland is very classy. Does tend to have an older crowd, but in March there would probably be a younger group and families.

I say Princess is the best. A good place to book your cruises is at "18K Travel".
