I am sure that this question has come up many times in martial arts forums, but I am new here and I don't remember what the true answer would be. So, who is better and why?

Well I am a martial arts experts and I can tell you that nobody will be better than Bruce Lee, I am not saying that Jet li is not good, but there is not comparison at all.

There's a story that on the set of "Enter the Dragon", one of the extras said that Bruce was all show. Bruce pointed him out and said "would you like a demonstration". The guy who was twice Bruce's size came down and proceeded to get his *** whipped. Bruce had a philosophy and started his own fighting technique and introduced Kung-Fu to the west. Bruce Lee was a fighter then an actor; Jet Li is an actor.

Bruce Lee. One of the best. Jet Li is good but "younger" if you get what I mean.

Both were good and Bruce Li used an actual effective fighting style that he developed himself.
But, in terms of sheer inventiveness, athleticism and humor, you can't beat Jackie Chan.

Well thats a tricky question as I'm a fan of both and have their films in my collection on dvd,but I'm old school so I'll say...

i like them both i like lee because he started the movies having more realistic actions when it comes to receiving a blow. i like jet li (the one ) cause he has had some nice movies also , and i like the humor and slapstick of Jackie Chan

I like Jet Li..his moves are crazy good!! pretty sure he creates all his own stunts as well but don't quote me on that.
