Alma 39:6 For behold, if ye deny the Holy Ghost when it once has had place in you, and ye know that ye deny it, behold, this is a sin which is unpardonable; yea, and whosoever murdereth against the light and knowledge of God, it is not easy for him to obtain forgiveness; yea, I say unto you, my son, that it is not easy for him to obtain a forgiveness.
Basically, if God reveals the truth to you by His power and you KNOW that God has revealed the truth to you...and then you deny that....that is the unforgivable sin.
It would be very plain to you that you are doing it...it would be like saying there is no sun...when you are standing outside in the sunlight looking at the sun.
(Murder is also very bad and extremely difficult to obtain any forgiveness from...all murderers will suffer in hell and if they are redeemed at all, it will be in the last resurrection...in the resurrection of the unjust...)

BLASPHEMY AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT
Mat 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
When the Holy Spirit work in a person, and grant conviction with inward attestation, when that person turn and deny the works of the Holy Spirit (ie despite inward attestation); that constitutes the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

The sin of unbelief.
The bible says that no one can get to the Father except through the Son.

I don't believe in the concept of "sin", and there's probably someone out there who would forgive someone for every last one of them, so I guess there's no such thing as an "unforgivable sin"

To me, no action is unforgivable as long as the perpetrator makes an effort to change their ways and make amends.
I'm an atheist, but I do believe in people.

Normal, rational people, do not accept the concept of sin. It is a religious invention used by priests and other religious leaders to scare and therefore control, the believers.

for catholics there is no "unforgivable" sin as long as you are truly sorry and are able to repent and be completely serious about it.
