Well my digital camera was recharging and I have no Idea what happened but it suddenly made a poping sound and it started to smell like lighter fuel and now it won't even turn on is there anythign i can do to fix it? I've had this camera for almost a year so theres no way I can return it.

Take it to a technician... Thats the way out as it is not wise to meddle with the interior of a digicam..

Next time get a camera where you charge the batteries separately. That way, if it overheats or something happens, it will only ruin the batteries and not your camera. Sorry that happened, but take it to a repair place to see if it can be fixed. If it is not a real expensive camera, it might be cheaper to buy another camera. Repairs can be very expensive.
