What are some programs just like photoshop, but free?

Lots of good ones, but I find it depends on what you want to do. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. Go to download.com, and search for free image editors. try them, see which one suit your requiremetns.

I have the cheaper PaintShopPro, CorelDraw, and the more expensive PhotoShop, Illustrator. Depending on what I want to use it for, PSP and CorelDraw is really fast and easy to use. For certain things Adobe stuff has features that makes it easy but for other it is a real pain in the rear.

For quick and free general photo corrections I use ULEAD photo explorer, fast and gives you the usual tools you need for photos. Not special effects. ACDSee is the best for Image viewer. Not free but cheap.

Soooo many out there, especially bundled with scanners, digital cameras, even printers, card readers, thumb drives, etc.

they don't give out free photo shops but they do let you have a one month trial there really awesome too! i would try it if i were you!
