An egg is an egg.
The only difference is the color of the chicken that laid the egg.
The other difference is price because there are some silly people out there that think brown eggs are special - extra nutrition, but it's all marketing and gullible people.
Edit...
I hope the guy was joking about bleaching eggs white... lol

According to Mr. Breakfast the reason is:
White eggs come from white chickens and brown eggs come from brown-ish chickens. Most of the eggs in your supermarket come from the following breeds of chickens: the White Leghorn, the Rhode Island Red, the New Hampshire, and the Plymouth Rock.
White Leghorn chickens are white and lay white eggs. Rhode Island Red, New Hampshire and Plymouth Rock chickens are all reddish brown and lay brown or brown-speckled eggs.
Let's get weird for a second and pretend you have a chicken sitting beside you. Imagine this crazy chicken is kind of an off-white brownish yellow. You're no chicken expert and you have no idea what breed you're looking at. Here's the secret to predicting the color of eggs a chicken will lay: look at their earlobes. This is true stuff. The pigments in the outer layer of the eggshell will always approximate the color of the earlobe of the chicken that laid the egg.
A natural follow-up question would be "Is one color of egg healthier than the other?" According to the Egg Nutrition Center in Washington, D.C., the answer is a pretty firm "no".

Just the color of the shell!
It depends on the breed of chicken; most brown or red feathered ones lay brown eggs, and most white feathered chickens lay white eggs. But that is not always the case. There is even a special breed of chicken that lays blue eggs!
Although there has been a long standing myth that brown eggs are ''better'', there is no nutritional difference between a brown or white egg if the chickens are fed the same diet

They are the same except for the color. What would a brown egg be without a white egg to make them somewhat different. If there were only Brown eggs, then that part of life that makes for growing our heart-brains would be that much less interesting and lovable.
Spice is life, and life is really seeing the beauty of a mocha.

The difference between brown eggs and white eggs is purely cosmetic; it's just a matter of a baby taking after its mom.

About 75 cents a doz. Some breeds of chickens lay brown eggs and some white.
Some bantams actually lay light green eggs. Go figure.
My mother keep pure bred Sebright bantams, the only chicken that is a true bantam, and the only one named after a man, Sir John Sebright. They are quite tame, will sit on your palm and are house trained. My mother has a parrot cage in which they will patiently sit awaiting their treats for up to 30 minutes without trying to fly off. They are truly cats with feathers and have a sense of humor. One will try to nudge another off the top of the cage.

Only the color of the shell, my neighbor has chickens that lay brown, blue, green and white eggs. And it doesn't have anything to do with the color of the chicken either. LOL

The price. Brown eggs used to be cheaper, because some people thought there was something wrong with them. Now they cost more. Just like beef tongue used to be cheap, and now they really soak you, if you can even find it.

All eggs are natuarlly brown when the hen lays them. Some companies bleach their eggs to help clean them. Thats what makes them white

Brown eggs have a richer taste to them and IMO they are better to cook with. Not only are they cheaper, they just simply taste better.
