Even when my touch lamp is turned off,it will go from dim to bright and then shut off. Also,I noticed tonight that my ceiling light in my dining room is doing the same thing.

It WAS only the touch lamp and then one time the overhead light flickered. It has a dimmer switch.I am not crazy, there was only two people around at the time and we were not near it. So I don't know what it was, maybe I will ask my brother in law, he is also an electrician.
Thank you for your answers.

i second the ghosts.

or its more likely to be some kind of electrical problem, I have a touch lamp that comes on after the electricity goes out and comes back on.

best bet is to get it checked out by somebody that has the equipment to test wiring and make sure nothing bad happens to your house.

If the ceiling fixture is doing this at the same time as the touch lamp, it sounds like a house wiring problem...you should call an electrician to check out the circuits.

If it were ONLY the touch lamp, I'd recommend having it's switch replaced.

Good Luck

If they are turned off, they should still turn on. That is how lights work. You turn them off and it gets dark. You turn them on and it gets light. That is pretty normal. They only stay off until you turn them back on.
