Ask him about himself, get to know each other better.
Tell him you just wanna sit and talk, and once you start, things will come more naturally. Also- go somewhere together. Do something fun, see a movie and then go to eat. You can then start off by talking about the movie and the conversation will flow from there.

well, if you don't want to ask him out, you have three options: 1. Seduce him. Trust me when I say any guy that you need to flaunt yourself for isn't worth it... at all. But it's still an option. 2. Get over him. Every person has something undesirable about them- so just find this lame trait and realize he's not as amazing as you originally thought. 3. Distract yourself until you forget about him. Hang out with other people (including guys), get involved in activities, and pay attention during class. This is the best option, in my opinion. But it's your call.

Find his interest and then get back to us.

A lot of shy guys (me being one and knowing) have A lot os interest and hobbys since our social life isn't as time consuming as everyone elses. Get him talking about something he enjoys and does a lot and you will have something to talk about. Need more info on the guy before I can answer further sorry >.<

I have the same problem with my bf. My suggestion is to talk about feelings, thoughts, or beliefs. We also tend to do little things together that brings out our humor which makes our relationship so much better. But don't worry, it comes with time, and being close to somebody doesn't necessarily mean you're always talking.

Ask him how his day was, what he likes to do on winter/ summer/spring/ fall days/nights, his favorite game as a kid...
Ask him questions that are a little abstract and make him think. And ones that will make him ask you those questions too so that the conversation gets rolling.

your questions are all wrong.
to make someone talk you ask questions that require an actual aswer. like, what has your day been like since you woke up this morning? or what sort of things are you interested in? what could you talk about for hours on end? Get creative.

"did you hear about that girl in India with 8 limbs?"
"Uh, no. That's wierd."
"Yeah, the doctors did surgery on her to take the extra ones off. They said it was a 'parasitic twin.'"
"Like conjoined, or siamese??"
"I guess, but it wasn't developed."
"hmm."

Just take some ramdon Yahoo story and talk about it! Or talk about work, or school.

why not try to get him talking about something he likes, then casually turn the conversation to something you both like or dislike. you may find you have more in common than you think,or nothing at all.if that doesnt work, bite him, then he has nothing else to fear from you.

Find out about him!

What do you do in your spare time? What's your favorite movie and why? What are your favorite restaurants? Have you ever traveled outside of the U.S.? Etc., etc....
