i have yet to do the brass stencil yet in my scrapbook,any advice will be much appreciated. im always looking for something else,just not too much money..

If you have a glass table, it can be used for a makeshift light box. Set a light ( with the shade removed ) on the floor under the table and place your project on to of the glass. Works fine and is less stressful on your arms then holding it up to the window, which can become very tiring.

I use a window as well. any hard surface that can make the light/shadow combo. Don't be sold on the gimmicks of scrapping. They are making millions off of us diehards in stuff we really don't need, like light boxes, while it is cool if you have the extra $40 to blow that's fine, but I know I would much rather spend that money on paper, embellishments, chocolate and caffienne!!!

No you don't. I put my stencil against the window and the light shows through just fine.

you can also use a mouse pad to use with the brass stencil. Layer the mouse pad, stencil, then paper and feel around with your stylist.
