thats funny because if you look at the stats. most rich people do not believe in god while most poor people do. I guess when you don't have anything you need something to turn to

God doesn't give them the advantage.
Many wealthy people are wealthy, simply for the reasons you stated. They are selfish, cruel, and most of all power hungry. Those things come from mans own hearts, not an advantage from God.

The bible warns about the "LOVE of money" as this leads to spiritual ruin. Spiritual things are much more important than money. Sadly those people you describe are mentioned in the bible as heading for ruin, stabbing themselves all over with many pains etc. So, even though to you they have an advantage, they really don't have happiness if they are selfish, cruel or power hungry. And look how many of them end up....
God certainly doesn't agree with the attitudes of these people. And in the end, they will have to account for their actions.

Money in and of itself is not evil...it's the Love of money that the bible calls evil. I've men plenty of selfish and cruel poor people so you can't really generalize about that either.
When the Lord comes into a persons life, he changes them from the inside out. And he is the only one who can. So if they are as you say, they need God, and so do you...so you can forgive them.

It is not that he favors the rich. Some people believe that the more things you have, the more blessed you are, they also believe the same about if you have little you are not blessed. Look at the rich man who wanted to follow Jesus. Jesus told him that he had to give up everything he had to follow him. Jesus knew that he could test his faith because this was a difficult task. Everything you have is not yours, Jesus has blessed you with these things and they are just more things you can give to him, and use for the advancement of his kingdom.

Jesus Said that it is harder for a rich man to get into the kingdom of God than for a camel to walk through the eye of a needle... do you really thing he "favors" the rich... I don't. If He favored them so much, they would all go to heaven. To me it don't look like there chances are very good.

When Satan tempted Christ, one of his temptations was showing him all the wealth and power in the world, and saying, "All these things will I give you, if you will bow down and worship me".
Christ repudiated Satan, and stated "You shall worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve".
Read the New Testament, and you will find out the truth for yourself about the rich and the poor.
Christ was not born as a rich person.

And Jesus said to the rich man "Go and sell all you have to the poor, then come back here, pick up your cross and follow me." And the rich man went away sorrowful. Then Jesus turned to his disciples and said "I tell you the truth. It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle then for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven."
Doesn't sound like God favors the rich too much to me.

Trespassing against your brother or sister in this world is unfaithful and consider a sin. Your future with God can be a disaster. Store your treasures up in heaven than this world. Your possessions can either rot, be stolen or lost but in heaven they all secure with in God's hands.
