i have a fuji finepix s700 10x optical zoom camera and want to buy one with more more mm. the question is are all zoom lens sold separately attachable to any camera. or just specific ones?

It goes by brand. Nikon lenses go on Nikon cameras. Fujifilm cameras also use Nikon lenses.

Your camera does not have interchangeable lenses. It has a zoom range of 38mm to 380mm, 35mm film camera equivalent.

To enjoy the benefits of interchangeable lenses you will have to buy a DSLR.

Those add-on "zoom" and "wide-angle" attachments that fit to the front of your lens are, IMO, a complete waste of money.
