I'm an advertising person and looking for ideas about a CREATIVE stand-out-of-the-pack format for a one-page cover letter for a creative ad agency.

If you want to get an idea of how creative we're talking about here, the last intern to their fashion department put her letter in the form of a dress on a 1-foot model.

But advertising is far more open so really, let the ideas flow. It has to be at that level- just pretty doable.

A cool cover letter idea that I once saw was somebody who put their entire resume and cover letter on a bottle of wine as two labels.

You could even do something simple like using a really funky/cool paperclip to tie together your resume/cover letter if they're more than one sheet in length.

If you're stuck on what to write for a cover letter, I found a whole bunch of them for free when I was looking for examples (for a job I was applying for), at this site: http://www.letterwhiz.com

good luck!

Tease em, but don't give them your hold card until you get the interview. Cover letter are just to get you in the door with your resume. I would state your views and, in the genre of the serials from the 30s and 40s, leave em hanging until they brought you in for an interview.

With this being an employers' market, be warned. IF you give them your best stuff BEFORE the interview, you risk letting someone have your talent for free...and you won't get credit or paid for the creation.

what do you advise format/form? Do you advise the same length print? the respond is "this is not correct". A letter seems diverse from a resume. a disguise letter is a letter and sounds like a letter with your signing Cordially yours, and your call, handle and get in touch with. A resume desires a million" of area around it (good, backside and aspects) and (in spite of the undeniable fact that it has your call, handle, telephone, e mail) is a catalogue of your preparation and jobs with dates and titles.
