If you mean to replace Cr, then no. The definition of stainless is to be 13% Cr. Mo and Cr are added to tool steels to form carbides, which increases the steel's hardness.

Moly makes your tool hard! LOL!

The main ingredient in steel is of course iron, but chromium and molybdenum are some of the alloying agents for some types of corrosion-resistant steel.
