I myself am not a fan of NASCAR, but I'm not going to sit here and say that it's horrible. My aunt and cousins are all avid fans. I was just wondering what it is about NASCAR that has the female fans watching.

I am a huge fan. I started watching because I moved from New York to North Carolina (where I think it may be the law that you have to like NASCAR if you live in North Carolina! :) )
After watching it for a while it becomes more interesting. I think that I am a bigger fan than my last 2 boyfriends!

My answer would be B. I do think that my favorite driver is hot but I didn't start out watching NASCAR, I have been a motorsports fan for years and it started with NHRA, and most of those drivers are not hot. I love the sound of the engines, the vibrations in the stands of the speed on the track and the excitement of watching drivers compete for the win. I really only got into NASCAR when I went to work for the company that sponsors the #38 (M&M Mars), but I always knew who Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon were.

I just do!!!!! I don't know you pick a driver, or a team and root for them I love the competition, the rivalry, and all the atomicity between the fans, I think it is a very exciting sport, especially when your driver has a great season!!!!!! I love to go to th races, there is just nothing better than Nascar fans! I love the fact that I'm a big time Jimmie Johnson fan and my husband is a Jeff Gordon fan, it is just so much fun and can't wait till the Bud shoot out!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Speed, the adrenalin rush, of watching someone do something that you yourself cant do, ummm the gossip..LOL . It's really a hard question to answer, it's no different than a male's reason for watching Nascar or any other sport. I like watching football not as much as Nascar, I like watching baseball again not as much as Nascar, But a sport any sport is entertaining, takes the hum drum of life and puts it aside for a few hours...It's Just FUN....

I started watching last summer one Sunday when my boyfriend was working out in the yard (and I was supposed to be helping ;-). From there it just blossomed and I wanted to become more knowledgable about the sport. Learning about the drivers, the cars, the teams, the lingo, and all the nuances about the sport and the individual drivers makes it much more interesting. And when I dragged my non-NASCAR fan boyfriend to a race in Charlotte, we both were hooked. It is difficult to describe, but it certainly is an experience that I recommend everyone give a try. The atmosphere is charged and watching a race in person with all the sounds and smells really makes you appreciate the skill of the drivers and how fast they are going (seems much slower on TV). For the full race experience, try camping out - that is a whole other adventure!

Your question is hard to answer, It is like asking females why do you like football,baseball or basketball we all have a different answer, we all like nascar for different reasons. For me i love Nascar for the rush i get went the guy I'm cheering for wins and the rush i get watching the drivers fight to stay up front or to gain positions with out getting hit or hitting the wall. That is why i love nascar someone else may say something vary different but we all have some thing in common we love nascar no matter what others say.

Why would the females NOT like Nascar? When i first got into it i just picked a car (48 and knew NOTHING about him) because i really liked his car. I then followed him from day 1. Nascar may seem boring to people because they don't give it a chance. If you pick 1 driver and follow him every week, it gets very interesting. As much as people don't think so, they are very talented drivers. It's all about skill, NOT making left turns all day.

I started watching just this year when I took my fiancee to the race in Texas (he is a huge fan) and I was hooked from there. The whole atmosphere at a race track is soo awesome. When I first heard those famous words "Gentlemen,Start Your Engines" and heard the engines starting was the best experience I possibly ever had (By the way...Those famous words are set as my Cell Phone Ringer)

Knowledge makes things interesting. I remember watching football without knowledge of the rules, knowledge of the teams and knowledge of the players and it was the most boring thing ever until I learned what was going on.
Without knowledge watching cars go around is boring too.
Men or women will enjoy Nascar if they take the time to understand the rules, the equipment, the teams and the drivers because it is very interesting and exciting.

I grew up watching it with my family we would all set around and watch the race that is about the only time my family would get together and actually agree on what to watch! So I just continued to watch it because it just caught my attention like nothing else! Now I addicted to it and can't miss a race! I am actually about to cry because the season is almost over!
