Taking any antihistamine with alcohol can be dangerous because the mixture is absorbed into the blood stream so quickly. The sudden intake could cause breathing difficulty or effect the rythym of the heart.

Basically, you can die via oversedation. Or you could pass out and then vomit and drown in your vomit and die. This is not the most graceful way to go. Are you feeling suicidal or something? There is 24/7 help out there, please call them instead of doing this.
"Benadryl may increase the effects of alcohol, and alcohol may increase the sedative effects of Benadryl. Do not drink alcohol while taking this medication.
If Benadryl is taken with certain other drugs, the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. It is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Benadryl with the following:
Antidepressant drugs known as MAO inhibitors, such as Parnate and Nardil
Sedative/hypnotics such as Halcion, Nembutal, and Seconal
Tranquilizers such as Xanax and Valium "

Hi, I'm glad you are not suicidal! However, your two friends are as dumb as toast. Are they looking to win the 2008 Darwin awards, or what? (This award is given, usually,post-humously to people for saving the rest of the world a lot of trouble by removing themselves from the gene pool, either by sterilization or death) They really need to find a better way to "enjoy" life.
So yes, you need to be angry with them. I would try to educate them. But if they aren't going to listen, you need to wash your hands of them, and probably tell their relatives what they are doing so they can start saving money for their funerals.

you could forget to breathe

Antihistamines. Drugs such as diphenhydramine (Benadryl and others) are available without prescription to treat allergic symptoms and insomnia. Alcohol may intensify the sedation caused by some antihistamines. These drugs may cause excessive dizziness and sedation in older persons; the effects of combining alcohol and antihistamines may therefore be especially significant in this population
