Question

Ive been wondering, why do guys like sharapova?
dont get me wrong, im not jealous at all, im just saying cause theres so many more beautiful women out there (models, actresses)
-do you all like her cause shes actually accomplished something? winning 2 grandslams?
b/c if thats the reason, im totally with you all, you dont just like someone for their looks, but for what they've done!
- but if you like her solely on her looks and not for what shes accomplished (ahem guys who dont follow tennis at all)
why don't you obsess over gisele or jessica alba?
i honestly dont think sharapovas that pretty, maybe just cause shes tall and skinny?
sorry, this is so long guys! i just have a lot of thoughts on her!

oh contrare, i think she is in it for the $, that one interview where she said how shed rather have 2 grandslams than 25 mil cause 2 grandslams are worth more
guys, i understand shes the prettiest tennis player (besides ivanovic) but why not obsess about gisele bundchen or someone else?
is it cause she has actually accomplished something, unlike other pretty women who do nothing?

Super question. I agree, she is not the pretties out there, but many people like her (including myself) because of the way she strives to be the best she can be. She has all the money in the world and could quit at any time, but she loves the game and always gives it her all, whether she is playing well or not. She is not the prettiest or most talented, but she is a professional thru and thru. I greatly admire her work ethic. People bash her all the time, because she has only (only?) won two grand slams, but I like the way she ignores everyone and just does her thing. She doesn't play for money she playes because she loves it, and that is her job. She never dials in a performance like the Williams.

I'm sure casual tennis fans like or dislike her for her looks. Most hardcore fans admire her professionalism. I don't care whether she wins or loses, it is the fact she tries and wants to be the best she can personally be. We could all learn a lot from that. Results don't make the person. Effort does.

Ya know at one point I tried to convince myself that she is pretty: It didn't work. I used to like her a lot when she was just coming along. She's not so much fun to watch during early rounds at any tournament. But when she's up against good competition and fights, those times are her best. I'm not so much a fan or a hater (her fans and haters are equally ridiculous), but a lot of times I feel her "personality" isn't genuine, which is why I tend to dislike her. Her recent match against Henin in the WTA year end Championships reinforces my thoughts on her fighter mentality.

I like Sharapova because, well she's the best looking female tennis player right now, and because she is so good at tennis. I mean, the williams sisters and henin are good and all, but Sharapova has all those looks and still is able to perform like she wasn't even the best looking player in the entire world. She has the entire package, looks and skills. Plus, she's tall!!!!

I'm not a fan of her at all. I'd much rather have a serving of Jelena Jankovic cuz I think she has a very beautiful smile and an awesome personality. Sharapova takes things to seriously. Don't even get me started on that stupid grunting.

i like her very much, but i like them all.
so.. i think ana ivanovici is more beautiful than her...
henin plays better...
her looks is about... 8,6 out of 10. when she has make up on and is relaxed.. smiling, she could be 9... so she is one of the prettiest.
the body... is ok... not hot... maybe because the sun never looks at her unless she plays tennis, so the marks on her legs are pretty low... not so pretty..
she dresses ........... horrible, when playing.
she should get some advice from .. some Nike designers, i don't know...
maybe they like her couse she has blond hair, and she is a true fighter.

her warrior cry when she hits the ball. haha no but personally for me i like her as an awesome tennis player, very tough and focused. i think other guys like her cuz her body's really fit, not skinny or fat and shes pretty good looking. (jessica alba and megan fox is better though )

we think she is good looking b/c we compare her to Mauresmo and Serena Williams. both are very masculine and guys don't really care for over masculine girls. and (not to sound like a typical guy) but she WAS in Sports Illustrated's Swingsuit eddition. so she is kinda a model.

why dont guys like justine henin, she's the best out there and she has won 6 or 7 slams but she's not that pretty to be honest. maria is tall, nice hair, pretty eyes...very attractive. i like her for looks.
