i paid 10000 ( 5000 related to tax exempt investment) to the bank to purchase investments. I had also the following:
captial gain from stocks 5,000
dividend income from stocks 3000
interest from saving acount 10000

can you please tell me how much my investment interest deduction? I need amount only $$$

Here the word "Investment Interest" means the interest you paid on the money you borrowed for investment.

Zero. The $5000 (the part related to non-exempt investments) that you paid sound like investment expense, which is deductible on Sch A, Line 22 or so, Misc. itemized deducitions subject to a 2% of AGI threshhold). You have not told us of any investment interest expense, such as margin interest.
