I live on my own and have very little cooking experience. I have a steak and oven, can I turn that into dinner?

If your oven has a broiler, most do, put your steak on a cookie sheet with a rack if you have one, or most ovens come new with a broiler pan. Position the shelves such that the topof the meat is 2-3 inches from your flame or electric heating element. Broil for about 4 minutes firs side, 3 minutes 2nd side. This shouldgive you a nice medium rare steak, Cook a little longer if you want done more. Good luck.

you could just have chunky chips and steak with mushrooms and onions and littlle gravy

chuncky chips:

peel pototoe/s 1 -2 slice then cut into chips rember you want them cunky so not too small, rinse under tap, then get a pan pour some oil in place chip on it then cook into golden,

you could just fry the steak in a little oil for about 4 -5 mins depending on how you like it cooked.
add mushrooms and onions

remove steak add hot water (not too much prob a half a cup)
add some gravy mix, stir with fork add black pepper.

then serve
