Slow Ride by Foghat. I used to listen to that in my sister's 8 track player in her Camaro when I was a kid, and I thought we were the coolest people alive! LOL!

There is no song that could make me fall in love, but the lyrics from "I Am What I Am' confirms who I love. "I am what I am I am my own special creation So come take a look Give me the hook or the ovation Its my world That I want to have a little pride in My world And its not a place I have to hide in Life's not worth a damn Till you can say I am what I am I am what I am I don't want praise I don't want pity I bang my own drum Some think its noise I think its pretty And so what if I love each sparkle and each bangle Why not try to see things from a different angle Your life is a sham Till you can shout out I am what I am I am what I am And what I am needs no excuses I deal my own deck Sometimes the aces sometimes the deuces Its one life and theres no return and no deposit One life so its time to open up your closet Life's not worth a damn till you can shout out I am what I am."

The 70s songs... Disco Mickey, The Rubberband Man by The Spinners, or Baby Come Back by Player. Those songs still give me warm fuzzies when I hear them.

I think I remember those from when I was about 3 or 4. I remember, I would sing these completely wrong lyrics, but they made sense to me when I was that young.

when i was about 3 my mom had a cassette tape player (one of the firsts) in her car
and the only tape we had was the eagles hell freeses over
and i listened and listened to that tape and i knew all the words and the music by heart
and i had my favorites

well one day we were driving along and i said to my mom turn it to 'harry got up' and even though she had also listened to the tape backwards and forwards didnt know what i was talking about

so she asked my dad and he didnt know

so we flipped through the tape
on each song i would say no
untill we got to this ripping violin piece at the beginning of one song

'harry got up, dressed all in black, went down to the station, and he never came back'

don henley's pure husky voice tore through the violin solo

thats it! i shouted

it was in a new yourk minute
a depressing song about suicide crime murder and lost love

but yet the music, and melody struck me as so powerful
it was my first favorite song, and still is one of my favorites

this is probably where i get my dark and drepressing ideas from... im probably scarred for life (in a good way) also this is where my love and talent for music and art and liturature and language sprug from

i owe many thanks to don henley and the eagles

I was either 6, 7 or 8 and it was in the 80's and the first song I've ever remembered and brings back memories would be "If Ever You're in My Arms Again" by James Ingram. It's moved me like adult contemporary and love songs ever since. Good question, too!!! Brings back the memories. Thanks.

A song from Sesame Street. I don't remember what it was called, but it went something like " I have a new way to walk, (walk, walk) I have a new way to walk, (walk walk) I have a new way to walk, and it really suits me fine" I used to get all hyper when that song came on! That was over 20 years ago, I feel so old!
