Pee multiple times a day. Never hold it too long. Even if you don't have to use the bathroom before you go to bed, try to anyway that way it's not staying in your bladder all night. Drink plenty of water & clear fluids. Cranberry juice usually helps with bladder infections, so that may help preventing them. I think it mainly makes you pee a lot though. Caffeine probably isn't the best choice of drink.

By limiting the sugar you ingest, by drinking 2-3 liters of water a day, by drinking cranberry juice, by wiping the correct way after having a bowel movement, by not douching with perfumed products, by voiding when you feel the urge to urinate. Some things that increase the risk for bladder infections are having sex, having frequent sex or with multiple partners, pregnancy and diabetes.
