I know that there is a limit to how many visas are available depending what country you're in. Does anyone know where I can find exact numbers?

according to what i found the western hemisphere is allowed 120,000 per year on a first come first served basis. the portion i cut is as follows**** An annual limitation of 170,000 visas was established for immigrants from Eastern Hemisphere countries with no more than 20,000 per country. By 1968, the annual limitation from the Western Hemisphere was set at 120,000 immigrants, with visas available on a first-come, first-served basis.***** link has more details.

I know for sure that there is country quota system in immigrant visas, but not sure of non-immigrant visas, such as visitors, students etc. You can check out U.S Department of State Visa Home page for more visa infos.
